Hello, Everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful new year.
It’s 2012 and we are anticipating a lot of activities not only for our favorite 2NE1, but more so for our dear adorable fierce leader, Her Royal Highness Queen-Empress Lee Chaerin who continue to inspire us.
2012 spells another round of changes and growth for our CL-Roo, foremost of which is her birthday coming up this February 26. She’ll be celebrating her 22nd birthday (her Korean age) and we would like to join in the fun and give her something quite memorable this year.
I will be delivering the gifts personally with the help of a friend ^___^
We have come to know more about CL in the past year than we ever did when 2NE1 first debuted. Admittedly the snippets of what we know about her were just so hard to get by that the little things she is slowly divulging became like gems of treasure to us. Let’s start with the following:
CL- The Fashionista
CL’s fashion sense has definitely grown. Although she still sports the colors from time to time, there has been a certain glow of maturity and more elegance in her fashion sense. She is laid back at times with just her jeans and a simple shirt, classy and ladylike in her trench coat, feminine with her skirts and dresses, and attractive in her shorts. Everything she did was done with a touch of class that we seldom see in girls her age. Everything was just classic CL.
CL- The Artist
In 2011 we got to know that her drawing skills had actually gone beyond the child-like combination of animals she first showed us in 2009. We saw how from the duck-snake, pig-rabbit caricatures she has gone on to paint abstract and bolder-color drawings using not just color pens, but acrylic paints, among others.
CL – Rilakkuma’s Secret Friend
When CL came of age last year, there was this one plea she made: “Please treat me like a kid.” It is this child-like attitude of hers that opened us to her fondness for Rilakkuma. No one can do it like her. Fierce and bad-ass one moment and then turn into this adorable little kid with her Rilakkuma bear in tow.
CL- The Child Advocate
If there’s one thing we have often said of CL it is this, for a popular idol she’s ironically low-key. For international fans, we’ve only learned of her personal advocacy for children last year in an interview with Elle Magazine. In that interview she told the interviewer that she has been involved in HOLT Children’s Services with her uncle several times already. It was a joy for us to know that CL-Roo’s heart is for sharing and caring the most vulnerable group of the society, children. HunChae (CL’s nickname) is indeed warmhearted to the core.
Okay, so what’s with all these introductions and briefs? Well, the four things mentioned above is related to what we would like to give CL for her 22nd birthday. We want her to know that the things she shares with us, whether on stage when she’s filled with gusto and busy showing us their latest music, her solo performance or whether she’s in her downtime or break, did not go unnoticed. That as her fans we take into account everything she said, has done, and have come to love.
This year we plan to celebrate her life by actually celebrating and highlighting the things she likes and recently shared with us. Our gifts will of course include a wonderful CAKE (because no birthday should be without a cake!)

Actually, it’s the Louboutin logo but hey, it’s a C & an L, who else goes by that name, but only CL right? Not to mention CL just LOVES, LOVES, Christian Louboutin. This is our main gift to CL.
